Aaron Timothy Phillips was born to Darrell & Margaret Phillips, Tuesday,May 15, 1990 in Beaver, Utah. He was a very sick baby and spent his first week in the outside including an ambulance ride to Provo and a week in the NICU.
Aaron and his big sister Laura were raised in Kingman , AZ during their formative years. Along the way Aaron and Laura collected another brother, Bradly and their sister Sara. We all packed up and moved back to St George, Utah. Aaron’s diagnosis of type 1 diabetes at the age of 14 finally provided an explanation for his health challenges. Truly a difficult age to grasp the battles ahead.
Aaron became a husband on October 31, 2013 when he married Tamara Sue Whittaker. He became a father to a beautiful baby girl, Alymora Skye Phillips on June 25, 2015. Two years and two days later a son, Arden Ray Phillips joined the family on June 27, 2017.
Aaron became a CNA working in Nursing Homes & long term care facilities. His experience led him to his true passion working with those troubled with mental health challenges. He was with the BMED team at the St George Regional until health issues required him to step away.
Aaron was on Dialysis for three years experiencing the challenges and difficulties associated. The gift of a kidney transplant occurred November 21, 2024. It was successful and Aaron recovered and planned to return to work. During this year complications with blood clots developed required him to step away. He spent time with his family and worked on his health and challenges.
In October a hasty move to Texas for a work promotion for Tammy moved the entire household to San Antonio. Trying to find new doctors and medical specialists to maintain his medical care became critical. It prompted Aaron’s return to Saint George to continue his care with the medical team here. He was able to begin the process to receive care, but sadly on December 1, 2025, Aaron suffered a severe heart attack at his parent’s home. He passed away despite a heroic attempt to resuscitate him.
Aaron is survived by his spouse Tammy Phillips, daughter Aly and son Arden. All residents of San Antonio, Tx, his parents Darrell and Margaret Phillips of St George, UT., his siblings Laura Phillips (Amanda) Washington City, Sara Tercero(Angel)Washington City and Bradly Phillips (Sara Ronnie) of Cedar City.
