Alan Hyrum Olmstead

Alan Hyrum Olmstead, of St. George, Utah passed away May 9, 2023.  He was born in Ogden on Sept. 24, 1943 to Howard Olmstead and Ruby Thurgood Olmstead.  He grew up in Roy, Utah and graduated from Weber High School. Alan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a missionary to the Western Canadian Mission. He was a talented artist and many remember his sense of humor.  He was a kind and generous man.

Alan is survived by a son Rodney Alan Olmstead, one brother, Philip (Annette) Olmstead of St. George Utah, two sisters-in-law, Loa Rose Olmstead, Draper Utah. Marla Olmstead, Ogden, Utah.  He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Reid and Ray.
