Barbara Hope Fowler
Barbara Hope Fowler lived in St. George, UT. She was 75 years old when she passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022 surrounded by family.
Barbara was born in 1946 to Richard and Hope Rechif and was the second daughter of four children. In 1969 she married David Fowler in Los Angeles, CA. Barbara lived in several states growing up, and finally, her parents settled in California where she lived until she married the love of her life David Fowler.
Barbara loved to work in the garden. Everywhere David and Barbara moved the first thing they did was plant roses in their yard. When they lived in Duarte, CA. they received an award for having one of the most beautiful yards. That award was because of all the work Barbara did in their yard and flower gardens.
Barbara also loved to help people. She was always looking for ways to serve others. For a number of years during Christmas time she would put together items for a family in need and do a secret Santa. Even when her family was struggling she would find a way to help others.
Barbara loved Christmas. It was her favorite holiday. If Barbara had her way, Christmas would be every day. Barbara loved to spend time with her grandchildren playing board games, decorating Christmas cookies, or just talking to them about life.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years David Fowler, her sons, David (Samantha) Fowler Jr, of Hollister, CA and Michael (Andrea) Fowler of Sioux Falls, SD; daughter Stephanie (Brian) Grimwood of St. George, UT; and foster son Bernie (Nicole) Steele of Eagle Mountain, UT ; her eight grandchildren; her sister Mary Jane (Bill) Card, and brother Richard Rechif.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Margaret Rechif. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 1, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. George, UT. (930 South Morningside Drive, Saint George UT. 84790).
