Bertha Juanita Mendenhall of St. George, Utah passed away on March 1, 2024 at the age of 88. She was born on April 27, 1935 in Puyallup, Washington to Thomas Jefferson Mundell and Bertha Irene Headley. She was married to Klair Edward Mendenhall on October 2, 1971 in Long Beach California.

Her love of life included gardening, crafts, shopping, traveling, and of course her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, at which she excelled at. Many of her travels included cruises to such places as the Mediterranean and Hawaii. Bertha and her husband Klair, also did many road trips pulling their travel trailer. They visited spots like Canada from west to east across the country. They also enjoyed camping in the National Parks with one of their favorites being Rocky Mountain National Park. With Klair being in the Coast Guard they spent a lot of time on the west coast. Particularly in the Oakland Bay Area and Alaska. Bertha was the glitz gal and when she went shopping dressed to the hilt in high heels and sparkling jewelry. Bertha was a prayer warrior for her family. She loved to listen to Elvis Gospel music and the Bill Gaither Trio.

She is survived by her children Lem Lucia (Martha) of St. George, Mark Lucia (Patricia) of Carlsbad, California, Ron Lucia of Bullhead City, Arizona and Michelle Ingle (Ronnie) of Asheville North Carolina. She has 11 grandchildren. Mark Lucia, Kris Lucia, Coral and Shaver, Jordan Lucia, Zac Lucia, Nic Lucia, Adam and Noelle Lucia, Michael Henderson and Evan Ingle. She was also blessed with great grands, Vella, Wyatt and the new addition Bennett. She is preceded in death by her husband Klair, sisters Jean and Lorena, brothers Vern and Danny and her beloved grandson Mark.
