On January 1, 2026 Bette Ann Simon went to be with our Heavenly Father; she was born March 11, 1949 In Pine City, Minnesota. Bette is the 9th child of Grace Genevieve Simon of Minnesota who had 15 children.

Bette was a woman with a heart of gold she always had a smile on her face and a scripture to tell you. Where ever she went she would make a stranger a friend. She grew up in Gonzales Ca in her younger years and lived in Salinas Ca til she decided to take the journey to Utah and relocate with her little sister and brother in law in February 1996; when she first moved to Utah she worked with her sisters at Lins Grocery Store in the bakery she was an awesome cook and baker if you knew Bette that was her talent and you always wanted to be around when she was cooking she loved to cook for people and make people happy with her cooking. She was spotlighted in the newspaper in California for her Cheesecake recipe she had made someone who then they entered it into a contest and she won and was spotlighted in the Salinas Californian newspaper she was very proud of her baking and cooking .. she ALSO did a lot of baking of many wedding cakes for the people at her church in Salinas, California @ Bethel Southern Baptist Church from birthday cakes for hundreds, to baby shower cakes to wedding cakes, 3-4 even 5 layers high to funeral cakes reunions and barbecue’s and many many other celebrations that you can think of; Bette was a woman who was a disciple of God anywhere she went. She would ask strangers if they knew Jesus if they have had experiences with Jesus she wasn’t afraid to talk about her faith. She was never afraid to talk about her faith to ANYONE, she would talk to her family members the most about Jesus and ask them all the time and make sure that they knew Jesus because she wanted to make sure that all of her family was going to be in heaven with her one day.

Bette is survived by her 3 sisters; Karen(Tony)Utah, Carol (Arizona), Jeanette (Minnesota) and many close nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews who all where VERY VERY CLOSE TO HER whom she was proud of each and EVERYONE OF YOU, Bette was a part of many generations in her family throughout her life whom were close to her; and SHE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY ALL, she is proceeded in death by her mother, Grace Genevieve Simon, and her brothers and sisters who have gone before her.
