Brad Walton Pearson, 70, of Washington, Utah, passed away on July 11, 2026. While his passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, his family finds comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his beloved wife, Jodi, and is finally free from pain.

Brad was born on September 16, 1955, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Donald and Fay Pearson. He grew up in Salt Lake City, where he graduated from South High School before earning his degree from the University of Utah.

On October 26, 1979, Brad married Jodi Ann Pickett. Together they raised four children.

Brad spent more than 25 years in broadcasting with the Utah Jazz, a career that perfectly combined his love of sports and storytelling. His passion for sports extended well beyond his work, and he enjoyed following games and cheering on his favorite teams throughout his life.

Those who knew Brad will remember him for his strong work ethic and his generosity. He believed in working hard and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

Brad is survived by his children, Brodie Pearson and his wife, Jodi; Kyle Pearson and his wife, Ashley; Clete Pearson and his wife, Kristine; and Becca Hadley and her husband, Josh. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren: Nyanna, Roren, Wyatt, Luke, Piper, Jackson, Noah, Hudson, Harper, Hayden, and Harvey.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jodi Ann Pearson; his parents, Donald and Fay Pearson; and his brother, Wade Pearson.

Brad will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his generous spirit, and his lifelong love of sports. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

At Brad’s request, a small, private graveside service will be held for immediate family. Those wishing to send flowers may have them delivered to Hughes Mortuary in St. George, Utah.
