Christopher (Chris) John Richins, 58, met his parents in loving arms on November 5, 2025. He was born January 16, 1967 in Provo, Utah to Betty Marie Haynes and Ray Lamar Richins. He was number 11 out of 12 kids. He spent some of his younger years in Utah then moved to Wyoming. Later returned to Utah where he met Tonja Mower in 1992 where he started his family. They later moved back to Wyoming where they raised their family til 2010 when they made their residence in St. George. After moving here they later separated around 2013. During his younger years, while incarcerated he found his passion for tattooing. He was tattooing all the way till his passing. He also had a passion for concrete working, derby cars, old trucks and cars. Any time he heard a car show was going on he was there to walk around and check it all out. He spent a lot of his later years fighting many illnesses from RA to Lupus and Feltys Syndrome. Having to have his gall bladder, spleen, 12 inches of colon and intestines removed and having a pace maker. Besides being the best Dad he loved when he got the title of Papa Chris (Grandpa). He loved anything that had to do with grandkids from getting them bikes to ride, building snowman, getting ice cream and going on city bus rides. Chris is preceded in death by his parents Betty and Ray, also siblings; Burt Richins, Raylene Richins Kirkman, Larry Harding, Jennie Richins Thomas and Glenna Harding Cloward. Chris is survived by 2 brothers, Richard and Roy, 4 sisters, Sue, Casey, Linda and Danna. Along with many nieces and nephews. Chris is also survived by Anthony(Jackie), Cassidy(Amie), Lindsey(Jeff), and Christopher Jr(Brittany). Papa Chris(Grandpa) is survived by Hunter, John, Madasyn, Kenny, Wyatt, Patrick, Kyzin, Kelsie, Scarlett, Christopher 3rd, Thomas, and Jaxon.

A Viewing will be held Friday November 14, 2025 from 11am-1pm at the Hughes Mortuary, 1037 East 700 South, St. George, Utah 84790

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations toward costs of services and can be made via venmo (@CrBd3813) or directly to the funeral home.
