Cleo Jones

Cleo Jones passed away peacefully February 2 2020 in St George Utah.
Cleo was born May 15, 1945, in Cedar City, Utah, to Alwyn Adair and Melva
Barnum Jones.
She spent her first 16 years in Enterprise, Utah and then moved to Salt Lake City
where her father and mother moved for employment.
She graduated from Granger High School in 1963. When her family moved to
Puyallup Washington, Cleo moved with them.
Cleo served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints in the
Northern California Mission.
A few months following her mission she moved to Alaska to work on the Alaskan
pipeline. She really enjoyed her time there, despite the cold.
After returning from Alaska, Cleo lived in many places, Nevada, Arizona,
Washington, and Utah but settled in St George where her parents were living to
assist them, until they passed away. She continued living in St. George area until
her passing.
Cleo was a gifted singer, singing in funerals of friends and in local church
congregations. She also enjoyed drama and participating in local plays.
Cleo was a very gifted artist. She painted beautiful portraits and was very creative
in making jewelry. She really enjoyed working with beads and wearing her many
creations.
She loved her dogs, Tigger, Mandy, India, Lexi, Erin, Jade and Bailey.
Cleo is survived by her two brothers Boyd Jones (Frances), Gary Dale (Sharon)
and brother-in-law Kent McComb (Sharon-deceased) and many nieces and
nephews.
The family would like to thank her friends and neighbors who helped her with her
needs and to Alliance Hospice and 5 County Services for their kind services and
care.
Graveside services will be held at the Enterprise cemetery on February 8, at 1PM.
Funeral arrangements are made under the care of Hughes Mortuary in St George, Utah.
