Clifford Ralph Bradley

November 28, 1934 — November 10, 2023

Saint George, UT

Clifford Ralph Bradley, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, returned home to his loving Heavenly Father on November 10, 2023.

He was born November 28, 1934 to Beulah Gundersen and Hyrum Emerson Bradley in Price, Utah. He was the youngest of 3 children.

He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1953 and served an LDS Mission to Norway from 1957-59. When he returned home, he enrolled at BYU and graduated in 1963 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. In 1968 he moved to the small island of Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands, where he taught school and was also the girl’s softball coach. He remained there for 5 years. He also taught at Davis County School District.

When he returned to Utah, he taught school for Alpine School District at Lakeridge Jr. High in Orem, Utah. While there, he taught German, Utah History, Careers and U.S. History. He had a deep love for language and history, and it wasn’t uncommon to see him doing complicated crosswords in his spare time.

In 1980, he went on a blind date with Beverly Farr Fowler. As luck would have it, it turned out that their families knew each other well in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and Beverly’s sister Gay, was married to one of Cliff’s best childhood friends.

He and Beverly were married July 10, 1980 in the Provo, Utah LDS Temple. They settled down in Orem, Utah and lived there for 28 years before moving to St. George, Utah in 2008.

Cliff was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He held many jobs including Home Teacher, Ward/Branch Clerk, Gospel Doctrine Teacher, BYU Bishopric Counselor, and High Priest Leadership.

Cliff was an avid golfer and sports fan. He loved going to BYU football and basketball games with Beverly, and later enjoyed watching the Jazz and BYU in the comfort of his home.

Cliff first became a grandpa in 1989 to a granddaughter, Rachel, whom he cherished dearly. They had a very unique and close relationship. Later, Brian and Kaylee completed his posterity, and he has been a loving grandfather to all three grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.

Cliff and his daughter, Michelle were the best of friends. He would guide her and counsel her throughout the years. Although not biologically related, one would never know, because of their deep and abiding love and respect for each other.

Cliff and Beverly enjoyed many years together, traveling, golfing, and no matter how old they were, you would always see them holding hands. He loved Beverly beyond words, and cherished her and supported her through the years.

Cliff is survived by his wife, Beverly, daughter, Michelle, grandchildren Rachel Koncar (Philip), Brian Bradley, Kaylee Bradley and soon to be son-in-law, Corey Shoemaker. Great-Grandchildren, Cohen, Solomon, Beckham and Isabel, Koncar.

He was also the proud uncle of many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hyrum and Beulah Bradley, brother Hyrum Bradley and sister Jerry Cook.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Green Valley LDS church, 1282 W 500 S Cir, St. George, Utah 84770 with burial at the Tonaquint Cemetery 1777 S Dixie Drive in St. George, Utah.
