Danny Wayne Butler

Danny Wayne Butler Resident of Cedar City Utah, passed away Sunday, July 16. Dan packed a lot of living into his 71 years. He worked for NASA, served in the Air Force, was a fishing equipment rep and had his own TV show. He worked as an electrical engineer and traveled all over the world. He retired from AMPAC in 2015. Dan was born August 6, 1945 in Oxnard, Ventura California to Jewell Butler. He has one daughter, Jackie, son-in-law Joel and grandsons Joey and Jeremy, who live in Southern California. Dan lived with his wife, Iva on their small farm in Cedar City, Utah. He raised ornamental pheasants, chickens, peacocks, sheep, goats, pigs, a horse, three cats and Daisy the dog. His favorite expression was that he used to be a highly sought-after engineer, but now he was just a dumb goat farmer. He loved the farm and his animals. The front porch was Dan’s favorite hang-out. People driving by would wave or stop to visit. He loved his family and friends very much and made it a priority to stay in touch with them. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 22nd at 10:00 A.M. at the LDS Stake Center - 2830 W Cody Drive, Cedar City, Utah. Dan stated that he wanted a big funeral, so if you can, please come.
