Santa Clara, UT – Danya “Dolly” Lillian Eichers, 83, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025. She was born on October 20, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Dan L. Densley and Ruby C. Osborne. Dolly was the second of four children, with an older brother, Ben, and two younger siblings, Rosemary “Sue” and David. Born premature, she was so tiny that when her older brother first saw her, he said she looked like a doll—affectionately giving her the nickname “Dolly,” by which she was known throughout her life.
Dolly married Ralph F. Jettie in Salt Lake City, and together they welcomed two children, Paris and Anthony (Tony). After their divorce, she later married Brent S. Eichers, who adopted both children and raised them as his own.
Dolly and Brent made their home in Midway, Utah, where they raised their family. Dolly worked as a Purchasing Agent for Intermountain Health Care and cherished the many memories they created together. The family especially enjoyed boating and spent countless fun vacations at Lake Powell with relatives and friends.
Once their children were grown, Brent’s career led them to several cities, including Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Tucson, Arizona. After his retirement, they settled in St. George, Utah, to be closer to Dolly’s sister, Sue, and other loved ones.
When her daughter, Paris, began having health issues, Dolly and Brent welcomed Paris and her two young sons, Jarred and Nick, into their home. They cared for Paris and helped raise the boys, giving them a stable, supportive, and loving home.
A gifted artist, Dolly expressed her creativity through beautiful watercolor, oil, and acrylic paintings. She also enjoyed crafting and shared her creations with family and friends. She formed many cherished friendships over the years and treasured her “girls’ lunches” and get-togethers.
Dolly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Brent; her brother, David Densley; and her beloved children, Paris and Tony. She is survived by her brother, Ben Densley; her sister, Sue (Dennis) Olsen; her grandchildren, Ian (Alexandra) Collins, Jarred (Victoria) Collins, and Nick (Jade) Collins and her great grandchildren, Charlotte and Jack; as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews who loved their Aunt Dolly.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A viewing and a gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Hughes Mortuary, 1037 E. 700 S., St. George, Utah.
