St George

Darryll Lee Seaver, age 54, of Tigard, Oregon, passed away on December 1, 2022. The adored son of James Rodney Seaver, Sr. and Roberta Lee Seaver, Darryll was born in Portland on January 23, 1968. He was raised in Beaverton, Oregon, and graduated from Beaverton High School in 1986. After lettering in varsity baseball and winning the State’s high school baseball championship in 1985, Darryll attended Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon, on a baseball scholarship, followed by Portland State University. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Rossi; the couple later divorced.

Darryll worked as a sales representative for various companies in the timber, microchip, and supply chain industries. He later worked in the home improvement and construction sectors. Darryll viewed his role as co-parent to his beloved daughter, Jordan, as his most important job and as the greatest joy of his life, always ensuring that his work did not interfere with his time with her. He also enjoyed spending time with friends playing golf, watching college and professional sports, and fishing. Darryll was a longtime and doting cat owner, after growing up with several family cats. A lifelong Oregonian, he enjoyed the state’s natural beauty, Portland’s vibrant culture, and longstanding friendships.

Darryll is predeceased by his parents and survived by his daughter, Jordan Lee Seaver, of Vancouver, Washington; sister Brenda Marie Seaver of Potomac, Maryland, and brother James Rodney Seaver, Jr. of Butte, Montana. Darryll also leaves behind his niece, Rachel Nicole Gluck, and nephew, Jake Ian Gluck, who cherished their family vacations and adventures with "Uncle Darb" and their cousin Jordan on both coasts. Darryll’s family will hold a private memorial service in the Garden of Reflection at River View Cemetery in Portland, Oregon, where Darryll will be inurned. Donations in Darryll’s memory may be made to the Oregon Humane Society’s Portland Campus at www.oregonhumane.org.
