Doris Ann Malm

Doris Ann Hartley Malm, born October 31,1935 in Preston, England passed away peacefully on September 21,2026 in Washington, Utah.

She was one of 13 children born to Mary Wilkinson Hartley and Clifford Hartley. She came to the United States with her family at the age of 13. Most of her teen years were spent in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Jerry Stewart Malm on September 3rd, 1955. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Swiss Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She spent time traveling Europe with her husband and young children while they were stationed in France with the Air Force. She, more often than not, was serving dinner to the church missionaries while there. She loved cooking and baking. It was not unusual for her to bake goodies to have on hand to give out. She also loved sewing and crafting. She made countless newborn hats for the hospital, as well as scarves and hats for the homeless. Crocheting tops for hand towels and gifting them to whoever she met.

She played a very active role in the church, serving in Primary, Young Womens, and Relief Society. She especially enjoyed her years in Relief Society. She served a mission with her husband in Guam. Hers was a life of service.

She loved serving in the temple and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and the Plan of Salvation.

She is survived by her children Sherry Ann (Rick) Loveland, Linda Kay (Rex) Bird, James Stewart (Cheyanne) Malm, Laurie Sue Gustin, Erik Wayne (Becky) Malm, Jason Dee (Stacey) Malm.

She was preceeded in death by her husband (Jerry), son-in-law Paul Gustin, siblings Catherine (Mabey), Joan (Lund), Gordon Hartley, Marion (Quilter), Michael Hartley, and Muriel (Powers).
