Elizabeth Breneman Olive

Elizabeth Breneman Olive, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the age of 75.

Elizabeth was born on February 8, 1951, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to Chester Breneman and Delphine Hill Breneman. She grew up in Landisville, Pennsylvania, where she spent her early years surrounded by family and community.

Liz valued education and lifelong learning. She earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and later received a master’s degree in education from the University of Wyoming. Her life took her to many places, including Kentucky, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, and Utah, where she made lasting friendships and treasured memories along the way.

Elizabeth had many interests and enjoyed staying active. She loved playing the piano, swimming, jogging, and dancing. She also cherished her involvement in her church and the opportunities it gave her to serve others and build meaningful relationships.

In 2007, Liz married Thomas Lynn Olive in Alaska. Together, they shared many years of marriage, family, faith, and adventure.

Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Thomas Olive; her son, Joshua Groff; her children through marriage, Scott Olive, Stephanie Stiritz, and Stacee Kruskamp; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know her.

Liz leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, family, and a life well lived. Her memory will continue to live on through the many people whose lives she touched.

A memorial service celebrating Elizabeth’s life will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 450 W 3650 S, Washington, UT 84780. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and encouraged to wear bright colors instead of the traditional black.
