Harry T. Wineman Sr., 98, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, at the Southern Utah Veterans Home.

Born February 28, 1927, in Pittsburgh, PA, Harry served during World War II with the 81st Airdrome Squadron of the Army Air Corps in Austria. After his service, he earned an Associate’s Degree from Robert Morris Business College and in 1953 married Mary Lou Baird, with whom he raised four children.

Harry built a long and distinguished career as founder and president of Independent Adjusters, handling claims for national companies. He was active in professional and community organizations, serving as President of the Pennsylvania State Independent Insurance Adjusters Association, the Edgewood Historical Society, and the Republicans of Edgewood, as well as a Deacon and Elder at Edgewood Presbyterian Church.

A lifelong automobile enthusiast, Harry especially loved driving convertibles—his favorite being a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado with red leather interior. Later in life, he made his home in Chautauqua, NY, Florida, Texas, Las Vegas, and Mesquite, NV, where he and his third wife, Lovella, were active members of Living Waters Church.

Harry was preceded in death by his three wives and his eldest son, Harry Thomas Wineman II. He is survived by three children, Dr. Joseph A. Wineman, Deborah B. Wienke, and Cassandra W. Hoffmeister, six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He will be interred at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
