Heather Lee Cynthia Ostler

Heather Lee Cynthia Ostler passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026. She was born December 9, 1933, in New York, NY, to Helena Lee Young and Thomas Haldan Cammidge. She was married to Willard Howarth Ostler in Nevada on January 5, 1973.

Heather was raised and lived most of her life in Southern California; 35 of those years were spent in Riverside. Upon marrying Willard, they built a successful wallpapering business, from which they later retired. Her sport of choice was tennis, which she was actively involved in until her shoulder would no longer allow it. She loved traveling, and she and Willard did so with the Good Sam Fifth-Wheel Club. In her late 70s, she fulfilled a lifelong travel dream to see the Panama Canal. She was a longtime member of the Riverside/Corona Model T Club, where she held numerous officer positions. She was an avid animal lover and adopted many shelter and rescue dogs throughout her adult life. Moppet was her constant companion for the last nine years of her life.

She is survived by her children, Michael Ostler, Sue Kester, and Lisa Adams; brothers- and sisters-in-law, David and Rita Ostler, and Jim and Jean Ostler; the remaining Cammidge line of Cynthia Simmons, Kari Nearing, Sheryl Caesar, and Tamara Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as beloved friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard, and her siblings, Carol Strohl and Thomas Cammidge.
