Jack Richard Beighley, age 88 passed away on August 5th, 2025, in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family. Born to Harry Austin Beighley and Mildred Hoover on December 4, 1936 in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. Jack was a lifelong example of love, service and hard work.

Jack spent his early years in Wurtemburg, Pennsylvania before moving to American Fork, Utah. Jack married Thelma Jolley, December 9, 1961, they were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. Jack spent over 40 years in American Fork, where he & Thelma raised their four daughters and he worked as an Electrician.

Jack served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Waxbill, spending time in Japan and San Francisco, he also served in the Seabees and had a great love for his country!

Jack completed an apprenticeship with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 354 to become a Journeyman Electrician. He worked on the Huntington and Bonanza Power Plants and then chose to finish his career at Geneva Steel where he could stay closer to home.

Jack is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, where he served in many positions as well as serving a mission at the Family Search Library in Salt Lake City. He exemplified true charity and willingly gave his time and talents to those in need.

Jack loved woodworking and made many items that were shared with family and friends.

Jack & Thelma were snowbirds, traveling between American Fork and St. George for many years until they moved permanently to St. George in 2000 where they could enjoy golf and spend time with family.

Jack is survived by his daughters, Doni (Rick) Carlton and Bobi (Brad) Johnson both residing in St. George, Utah and son-in-law Lynn Carson, Tooele, Utah; 16 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, sister-in-laws, Clerece Neil and Velma (Bill) Southwick and brother-in-law LaMar Jolley.

Jack was preceded in death by his spouse, Thelma, parents, Harry & Mildred Beighley, daughters Vickie Lynn Carson and Gaylene Grantham, grandson Jesse Kay Grantham and brothers Don & Dale Beighley.

Jack will be remembered for his love of classic cars, BYU football and his efforts to preserve and honor the past through his family history work. He will be deeply missed by all who know and love him.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Revere Hospice for their compassionate care during Jack’s final days.

Graveside Services will be Saturday, August 23rd at 1pm in the St. George City Cemetery.
