Jack Barry Suttlemyre, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was born on January 31, 1940, to Ethel and Clyde Suttlemyre. He was one of four brothers and shared his life with Gary Suttlemyre, Larry Suttlemyre, and Wayne Suttlemyre.
On June 24, 1960, Jack married Sharon Ann Goodwin, the love of his life. Together they built a home filled with love, adventure, faith, and devotion to family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Ann Suttlemyre; his brother, Gary Suttlemyre; his children, Jeffery Scott Suttlemyre, Stacey Ann Suttlemyre Denison, Heidi Suttlemyre Clark, Mindi Lee Goodwin, and Marc Samuel Goodwin; and his cherished grandchildren, John McCord, Eddie McCord, Samantha McCord, Jasmine Xanthos, Kellor Denison, Ryann Denison, Samuel Clark, Nathan Clark, Eliza Clark, Skyler Dixon, LJ Dixon, and Juliana Dixon.
Jack and Sharon also lovingly raised several foster children, Ben Shorty, Robertson Shorty, Tina Shorty, and Wilma Shorty, whom they treated as their own.
Jack loved life and embraced it with joy. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking them waterskiing and snow skiing, and sharing with them his love of adventure. He loved Jesus Christ and had a deep testimony of the gospel. He lived his faith through kindness, generosity, and service to others. Jack was generous with his time and always willing to help those in need. He also devoted many hours to serving in the youth organizations of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and with the Boy Scout organization, where he enjoyed teaching young people and giving of his time to help guide and encourage them.
Jack influenced many people throughout his life, and everyone who felt his influence came away better for it. He was always willing to give to anyone in need, offering whatever help he could with an open heart and a spirit of compassion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Clyde Suttlemyre, and his brothers, Larry Suttlemyre and Wayne Suttlemyre.
Funeral services will be held on July 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 200 West Brigham Road, St. George, Utah. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral at Tonaquint Cemetery.
Jack will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
