James E. Alger

James E. Alger passed away on December 31, 2025. He was born on March 9, 1943. He was the oldest boy of Jess and Cristal Alger. He served 13 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He had many hobbies, including woodworking and playing cards and Keno. He really enjoyed visiting his friends at the Senior Center. In his time, he was a great cook. On April 21, 1968, he married Nila Mangum. They had two children together, Nile James in 1970 and Lura June in 1973. They later divorced. He married Doris Hooper on March 9, 1999. They had one child, Alfred James. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Jan, Philes, Doug, Cristal, and his son Nile, and his wife Doris.
