James Leon Platt returned home to his sweetheart Nancy on June 1, 2021, following an accident doing what he loved. He was born October 6, 1953 to Robert Warren and Rhoda Bea Platt in Cedar City, UT. He married the love of his life on March 5, 1976 in New Castle UT. Together they raised 6 kids.

Leon was the life of the party. His stories and positive personality always drew a crowd. He had an amazing ability of making lifelong friends and always putting others needs above his own. Leon enjoyed trucking, ranching, chasing horses, hunting, playing with the grandkids, and visiting with anyone he met.

He is survived by his children Chana (Casey) Green, Russell Leon (Lacey) Platt, Jon Travis (Jessie) Platt, Misty (Turley) Truman, Tammy Lee (Bingham) Walch, and Sara (Brian) Cates; his mother Rhoda Bea Gubler; and his siblings Wayne (Gaylene) Platt, Denise Platt, Bruce Platt, Karen (Frank) Vinson, Shelley (Joan) Platt; and Stanley Watson and 23 grandchildren and the 24th on the way.
