Janet D Stubbs

Janet Darger Stubbs. age 79 passed away August 3, 2021 following a lingering illness.

She was born August 18. 1941 in Salt Lake City, Ut. Her parents were David Brigham Darger and Virginia Beth McDaniel. She married Lawrence Ritchie Stubbs: June 12. 1960 in Hildale, UT.

Most of her life was spent in Utah, but she traveled to many places and made many warm friends. She worked as a secretary, stenographer. and typist using computers when they first came out.

She was a professional welder and gardener, but her favorite profession was raising her children.

She taught school for many years and made life long friends with her students. ln her later life she had hobbies such as gardening, quilting, canning fruit and even some poetry.

She was a lover of nature. She loved going camping and enjoying the outdoors with her children and grandchildren.

One of her greatest enjoyments was attending her grandchildren's programs. She loved to listen to their singing and their orchestra music.

She was a very energetic, early morning person. She spent most of her time doing things to bless others such as making meals, washing dishes, weeding gardens. and even mowing lawns.

Her children remember her as a very competent nurse. She knew how to care for their needs from bandaging little cuts and bruises to taking them to the Dr. to get a broken arm fixed or appendicitis operation in the hospital.

She taught her children to be good citizens, always respectful of elders and those in authority, to never disobey the law. She drove the speed limit and never got a speeding ticket in 79 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Ritchie Stubbs who passed away in I 976 . She is survived by her brothers Ronald and Brigham, and her sisters Dawn and Kaylene.

She's also survived by 14 children and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Public viewing will be at 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Washington County Legacy Park, Grafton Building 5500 West 700 South Hurricane, UT.

Interment will take place at the Isaac Carling Memoria l Park, Colorado City, AZ. Arrangements are made under the direction of Hughes Mortuary, 1037 East 700 South St. George, UT. 435-674-5000
