JoAnna Bonadurer Maclennan, 49, passed away, suddenly, Monday, June 16, 2025. She was born May 17, 1976 in Murray, Utah to Martin Henry Bonadurer and Ellen McCleve Bonadurer. JoAnna married Michael Ryan Maclennan on March 7, 1998 in St George, Utah.
JoAnna was raised in West Jordan, Utah until the family relocated to St George when she was 7 years old. She attended West Elementary, Dixie Middle School, Pineview High School and Dixie College. She played cello for eight years with the Washington County School Orchestra. She loved running and ran in multiple marathons. She lettered in track and orchestra in high school.
She loved her children and supported them in all that they did. She was heavily involved in their high school activities with football, track and competitive cheer.
Disneyland and Walt Disney World were two of her favorite places, and she made countless magical memories on her many trips there. She loved to travel, explore new places, go to concerts, and experience all things fresh and exciting. Her adventurous spirit was contagious.
JoAnna had a gift for helping others create beautiful memories. Whether she was serving up joy and laughter at Chili’s, Outback, or Iggy’s… guiding new homeowners through their setup at AllConnect… or fulfilling her dream by offering a warm, spotless, welcoming space through her own business, Southern Sun Vacations — she brought light, care, and intention to everything she did.
She poured love into her garden and into every craft she made — penny-covered bowling balls, Halloween mini jars, painted wood ornaments for every holiday — always thinking of ways to make life more fun and festive for those around her. And if you ever sat at her kitchen table, chances are you played a card game, shared a laugh, or had a conversation that made you feel more understood and loved.
JoAnna is survived by her husband, Michael Maclennan, daughter Elizabeth (Husband Korbin Burton), and son Matthew, all of St George and brother, David Bonadurer (Wife Dan’L) of Santa Clara, Utah. Her parents, Martin and Ellen Bonadurer, reside in St. George.
