John William Mostowy

John William Mostowy, 68, of Sanford, NC passed away March 3, 2015 at Dixie Regional Medical Center, Saint George, Utah.  John was born January 17, 1947, in Butler Pennsylvania to John and Helen(Gilbert) Mostowy. John married Brenda Marie (Lewis) Carney, November 2, 1985 in Ferndale California.

John was raised in Bruin, PA and attended Karns City High School.  John lived in multiple places during his 22 years as an oceanographer in the Navy.  His many interests include golfing, hunting, playing cards, playing sports such as basketball, softball, and darts.  John is survived by his wife Brenda Marie Mostowy, currently living in Sanford, NC, sons, Ryan Mostowy of Sanford, NC and Bill Mostowy and his wife Broudy of St. George, UT.  Daughter Amanda Camensen and husband Doug of Escondido, CA, and Wendy Molnar Of St. George, UT.  Grandchildren, Jake and Jordan Camensen, Bella Mostowy, Jonathan Mostowy, and Step- grandchildren Paden,Bailey, and Sydney.  John is also survived by his Sister Diane Frazier and her husband Wayne of Beaufort SC. Two brothers, Ron Mostowy and his wife Jackie of California. Richard Mostowy of Costa Rica, Uncle Forrest Gilbert of Carnegie PA.  Three brother-in-laws  Steve Lewis of West Dunbury, PA. and his wife Barb. Greg and Scott Lewis of Emberton, PA, also several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.  John was preceded in death by his Parents, Grandparents, several Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, Mother-in-law Joycelyn Lewis and Father-in-law Terry Lewis, and brother-in-law Vic Lewis.

Funeral services will be held at a later date, determined by the family.  Interment will be burial at sea.  Arrangements have been made under the direction of Heideman Hughes Mortuary. (435)-674-5000.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
