John Dalton Reynolds Jr.

John D. Reynolds Jr. loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather lost his battle to cancer Thursday, January 22, 2026, in St. George UT. He was born September 2, 1937, in Visala, CA to Ruth Irene Woods & John D. Reynolds. He was married to Mary Karen Wood in Manti, UT on July 16, 1965. John grew up in Visalia, CA where he also went to school until he enlisted in the Navy. He was active in the Boy Scouts through his youth and became an Eagle Scout. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Eastern States Mission following his years in the Navy and then went on to college at BYU Utah, where he met the love of his life Karen. They married and had six children, which they also raised in Visalia. John enjoyed the outdoors and supported scouting. After the passing of his wife he moved to Midland, TX with his son Justins family and then to St. George, UT. He is survived by five of his six children, nineteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen and son William, and two brothers, Patrick and Joseph. Funeral services will be 10 am on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park 17111 S. Camp Williams Rd, Bluffdale Utah,84065.
