Jordan B Goudy

December 17, 1967 — May 10, 2018

Jordan B Goudy

Jordan B Goudy was born December 17, 1967 to Donald Ray Goudy Sr. and Clara Rosalia Borgeson Goudy in Murray UT.  While very young, Jordan’s family moved from Millcreek Canyon to Santaquin Utah, where he was raised and attended school.

After graduation from Payson High School, Jordan attended Utah Valley University and then served an LDS mission in the Japan Okayama mission.  After his mission, he attended Utah State University, where he met his sweetheart, Marylynn Boone.  On July 15, 1995, they were married in the St. George LDS temple.  Jordan & Marylynn finished school at USU and their first child, daughter Maaike, was born while they lived in Logan.  After graduation, the little family moved to Japan to teach English and have adventures.  When they returned to the States, Jordan worked as an airline dispatcher for Corporate Air in Billings, Montana, SkyWest Airlines in St. George, Utah, and Southwest Airlines in Dallas, Texas.  While in St. George, Utah, their son, Jordan Boone, was born.

Jordan loved being outside, especially in the mountains.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and camping.  He loved airplanes and anything related to aviation.  He loved being able to travel with his family, and they had many adventures and made wonderful memories together.

Jordan was known for his happy smile and hard work ethic.  He was always serving and helping others, or looking for a way to improve things around him.  He loved music, had a beautiful singing voice, and was an accomplished trumpet player.

Of all the things Jordan did well, the best and his favorite was being a father.  His children were the joy of his life and he worked hard to spend time with them.  They will always remember reading Sunday comics, fishing trips, swimming parties, and fun trips together.

Jordan was preceded in death by both parents, a brother (Donald Ray Goudy Jr.), two sisters (Janell B Goudy Luscher and Heather B Goudy Ennis), a niece (Cara Goudy), and two nephews (David Goudy and Brent Goudy).  Survived by wife Marylynn Boone Goudy, daughter Maaike Goudy and son Jordan Boone Goudy, all of Washington, Utah.  Also brothers Daniel (Karla) Goudy of Cedar Hills UT; Andrew (Keela) Goudy of Santaquin, UT; Thomas (Debbie) Augustus of Mapleton, UT; Tim (Sandy) Luscher of Koosharem, UT; sisters Holly (Dan M) Joseph of Hinckley, UT, Debbie (Mark) Erickson of Provo, UT; Sharon (Lucky) Goudy of Santaquin, UT.  Also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members who loved him dearly.

Visitations will be held Thursday night from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hughes Mortuary, located at 1037 E. 700 S., St. George, Utah, and Friday, May 18 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the LDS chapel located at 1295 S. 3000 E., St. George, Utah.  Funeral services will be Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the same chapel.  Interment will be in the Washington City Cemetery.
