Joyce Lee

Joyce Lee

Joyce Jeppsen Lee passed away at home on Friday April 6th, 2018. She was 83 years old.

Joyce was born in Mantua, UT on August 24, 1934 to Ray and Luella Jeppsen.  She spent a wonderful childhood in her mountain valley home with her older brother and sister, O’Brien and Diane, and her little sister Linda. She worked at Hill Airforce Base and attended Brigham Young University as a young woman.  She married Scott Norman Lee on February 10, 1956. They had 5 children together. During their lives together they lived in Moab, UT, Providence, UT, Buffalo, NY, Springfield, VA, San Diego, CA and retired to St, George, UT.

Joyce truly was the complete package, although she was the only one who might disagree with this assessment. She was beautiful, intelligent, and multi-talented. She was an accomplished artist, seamstress, cook, musician, and gardener. She could skillfully do most anything she attempted, and she wasn’t afraid to try new things.

Joyce was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life, including three missions. She applied her many skills to magnify these callings and loved to serve. The most treasured of all her callings was that of family member. She put her whole heart and soul into her family, whether her role was daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, or great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother and elder sister. She is survived by her husband, Scott, of 62 years, and her 5 children; Jeffrey Lee (Maria), Spencer Lee, (Laurie), Suzanne Kinnison, (Dana Kinnison), Robyn Serage, (Russ Serage), Christopher Lee, (Lia), as well as 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Linda, sister in law, Barbara and many nieces and nephews.
