Kay Hansen Brinkerhoff was born April 16, 1932 in Emery, Utah to Floyd and Surelda Hansen Brinkerhoff. He passed away on August 8, 2026.
Following graduation from South Emery High School, He joined and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War as an aircraft hydraulics specialist. Following a tour of duty on the aircraft carrier Bon Homme Richard, he was stationed at the U.S. Navy Air Test Center, Patuxent River, Maryland
Kay married the love of his life, the beautiful Maxine Hurley on June 21, 1958 in the L.D.S. Manti Temple. Together, they had three beautiful children; Scott, Lori, and Julie .He is proceeded in death by his parents; son Scott; sisters Betty, Joyce, Sheila, and Judy; brothers Reese, Kirk, and Hazen.
His working career was varied and very rewarding. He spent many years working in the Aerospace industry as a Technical Writer and Systems Analyst. He then spent several years as an RCA Computer Systems Analyst/Salesman. The remainder of his career was as a district VP for a Computer Output Microfilming company.
Following retirement, Kay and his dear wife and companion filled two missions for the Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints. He had a great love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven.
He is survived by his dear companion Maxine, daughters Lori (Dave) Francis and Julie McCall; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A family memorial service & interment will be at the Murray City Cemetery. The service will be planned for a beautiful fall day.
