In Loving Memory of LeeRaye H. Mitchell

LeeRaye H. Mitchell, age 81, passed away on October 12, 2026.

Leeraye was a beautiful woman, inside and out, whose presence touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was deeply loved by her friends and will be remembered fondly for the person she was and for the many cherished memories they shared.

In her youth, Leeraye was a talented tennis player. She was also a devoted cat lover who found great comfort and companionship in her feline friends, especially her favorite cat, George.

Throughout her working years, Leeraye was employed by Questar Gas Company, where she worked as a scheduler. Later in life, she enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially reading books and working crossword puzzles while savoring a chocolate brownie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fay and Wanda Hammond.

A Special Thank You

A special thank you to her cousin, Christine Mower, and her husband, Joseph, for their love, kindness, and support. Their thoughtfulness and care are deeply appreciated during this time of loss.

Though Leeraye will be deeply missed, the memories of her life, her friendships, her love of cats, and the time shared with her will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

May she rest in peace, reunited with George her cat, and always be remembered with love.
