Lindsey Lee Contreras

April 16, 1987 — April 3, 2022

Our beautiful daughter, Lindsey Lee Contreras, passed away April 3, 2022, in a tragic motorcycle accident with her fiancé, Jake Cadreact.

Lindsey was born April 16, 1987, in Vernal, Utah to Mary and Tom Contreras. Lindsey grew up in Santa Clara, Utah and graduated from Snow Canyon High School in 2005. She earned her Associate and Bachelors degrees in Elementary Education from Dixie State College in 2012.

Lindsey’s career reflected her love for children. She blessed families at several area elementary schools.  She found her true home working at the Child Development Center at Dixie Regional Hospital.  She loved her families and co-workers and she was cherished in return.

She lived her life as a free spirit, filled with purpose and dreams of adventure. Her smile was infectious and she would light up the room. Lindsey enjoyed painting and drawing, and one of her favorite projects was a mural she created for her son’s bedroom.  She had a passion for the outdoors and delighted in hiking, snowboarding and fishing. She also loved animals, and wanted to own each one she met.

Lindsey is survived by her parents, her son Colton, brother Adam, sister Melissa Beckman (Shawn), and many family members and friends. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and the community that she so dearly loved.

If Lindsey was here now, she would tell us to love fiercely, forgive often, and live in the moment. Share your struggles. Never give up. You are enough just as you are. Embrace each sunrise and sunset. Live each day as if it were your last.

Please join us for a celebration of Lindsey’s life on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11:00, in the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, St. George Utah.  During the service there will be an opportunity to share memories. Lindsey’s ashes will be interned in the church rose garden immediately following the service. A light lunch and reception will follow.
