Lloyd Kenneth Laws

April 13, 1948 — April 7, 2024

Taylorsville, Utah

Lloyd K. Laws age 75, passed away on Sunday April 7, 2024 in St. George, Utah.  He was born April 13, 1948 to Loren Kenneth Laws and Melba Mae Kirkham Laws in Provo, Utah. He married Linda Nuffer, they later divorced.


Lloyd then married Connie Barnhart, May 6, 1995 and they enjoyed 29 years of marriage. Lloyd and Connie loved to travel and have visited many special places throughout the world, some of his favorites being; Ireland, Scandinavia, Europe, Maui, Oregon, the canyons of Utah and anywhere the sun was shinning.

Lloyd was an avid runner, running many races including his favorite hood to coast and Roby Creek. He also had a deep love for music attending many concerts and owning several cd/albums.  Lloyd was a proud Ogden High and Weber State Alumni.  He kept in touch with many of the friends he made during this time and making more friends working for the State of Utah for over 35 years. He had two poker groups he enjoyed, one with his high school/college buddies and one with a group from work.  He always looked forward to spending time with these fine individuals. When he wasn't with friends you could find Lloyd enjoying spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren, he loved being Papa.  

Lloyd is survived by his wife, step children; Kenneth Nephi Rowe (Amy), Emilee Rowe (Joel Jarimillo) and two precious grandsons, Nicholas and Jack.  He is also survived by his sisters, Diana Jones (Johnny), Cheryl Archibald (Dwight),and  Linda Laws (Brent).  Many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle, and sister and brother in-laws who loved Lloyd as their own.   Lloyd was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Brent and son Camron. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Rebecca Rieser and the staff at St George Regional hospital for the loving care they provided Lloyd.  

A celebration of life will be held in July.
