Marilyn Joyce Tyson

Marilyn Joyce (Stocks) Tyson, age 89, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, in St. George, Utah, surrounded by her loved ones.

Marilyn was born on July 2, 1936, to Elizabeth and James H. Stocks. On January 8, 1954, she married Donald Ray Tyson, beginning a lifelong journey devoted to love, family, and service to those she cherished most.

She devoted herself wholeheartedly to being an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, and the steady heart of her family.

She is survived by her two children, Donald Ray Tyson Jr. (Pamela) and Teri Lyn Jennings (Eddie); her sister, Ann Schouten (Randy); seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Tyson, and her brothers, Mac Stocks and David Stocks.

Marilyn was an amazing homemaker and an even more amazing grandma. Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, and unconditional love. She had a rare gift for always knowing how to help—whether through her gentle presence, a listening ear, or lending a helping hand whenever it was needed. She was simply always there.

Her love for her family ran deep and knew no limits. She gave everything she had to those she loved, her kindness and care will live on through generations. Marilyn will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her quiet strength, and the way she made everyone around her feel safe, loved, and at home.

She leaves behind a legacy of love that will never fade.
