Matthew M Devich Jr.

Matthew (Matt) Michael Devich Jr, age 72, passed away on August 7, 2022 unexpectedly.  He was born on July 24, 1950 in Denver, Colorado to Matthew Michael and Laura Julia (Crow) Devich.  He married Irma Hiden on August 18, 1979 in Denver, Colorado. 

 

Matt was a pipefitter/welder throughout his working years.  He loved fishing, motorcycle riding, racing sprint cars, hunting and was an avid Denver Broncos fan.  During his younger years Matt played the drums in a band.  He always put his family first.  He is remembered for his willingness to help others in their time of need and was known as a Big Teddy Bear to many.  Matt was loved by all who knew him.  He is survived by his wife, Irma, his daughter  Tamara Antoinette,  son-law Russ Bartz, ten grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. 

 

Matt was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother,  sister,  and both sons. 

 

Funeral  service will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the La Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church, 401 Canyon Crest Blvd, Mesquite, NV.

 

Celebration of Life to follow at Irma's house, 1673 Slate St, Mesquite  NV
