Norman LeRoy Staheli, born September 14, 1945 age 79, passed away peacefully on August 8th surrounded by family. He was born in Cedar City, Utah, and raised in the quiet town of Enterprise, Utah, where he developed a deep love for the hills, rocks, and the natural beauty that would become a constant in his life.
Throughout the years, Norman worked many jobs, but he was best known for his time at Bracken’s Hardware. There, he was a familiar and friendly face, always ready to lend a hand, share a joke, or offer a handful of pine nuts. His helpful spirit, kind heart, and sense of humor made a lasting impression on all who met him.
Norman met the love of his life, Terri, in Caliente, Nevada. Before serving a mission in North Carolina, he confidently told her he would marry her someday- and he kept that promise. They were married 57 years, building a life rooted in love, adventure, and devotion. Her passing left a space in his heart that never truly healed.
Norm, affectionately nicknamed “Flash” in his younger basketball days, graduated from Enterprise High School and remained proud of his hometown roots. He loved hiking, picking pine nuts, hunting rocks, and taking long drives through the hills surrounding Enterprise- terrain he knew like the back of his hand. Whether it was the crunch of gravel under his tires or the quiet stillness of the desert air, Norman found peace in the land that raised him.
He is survived by his five children: Michael Staheli (Shan Shan), Collin Staheli (Sharlene), Samantha Woolsey (Del), Tasha Lovewell (Jay), and Krisanda Hall (Aj), as well as many beloved grandchildren and great- grandchildren who will carry his memory forward.
He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Terri Staheli, his parents, Jesse LeRoy Staheli and Eunetta May Staheli; and his siblings: Keith Staheli, Karl Staheli, Rodney Staheli, Genevieve Farnsworth, Beverly Cramer, and Virginia Hall.
Norman will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love for the outdoors, his dry wit, and the fierce loyalty he held for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but lovingly remembered- always.
Arrangements are made under the direction of Hughes Mortuary.
