Pamela Bagley Stagg Silletti, born August 9, 1937 passed away peacefully in her home on May 31, 2026. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Gran), great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend whose life was dedicated to family, service, unwavering faith and unconditional love to all who knew her.
Pamela was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and grew up in the East Millcreek area, where she attended Olympus High School and attended LDS Business College. She served in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She said that her favorite calling was being a leader and teacher in the Young Women’s organization within the church. Pam also served for over a decade as a verifier doing extraction work for the church and specializing in Old English script. She earned many certificates for her work. Her dedicated faith and prayers richly blessed the lives and testimonies of all of her family. She learned at a young age that her prayers would be answered by a loving Heavenly Father and her personal trust in Him and our Savior Jesus Christ never wavered.
Shortly after graduating high school, Pamela married John H Stagg Jr. in the Salt Lake City Temple. Pamela was rather shy on the dating scene and so John was a blind date. She fell in love with John’s enthusiasm for life. Together they had four children, Lynell Thompson (Scott), Lance Bagley Stagg (Stacy), Jon Drew Stagg (Lynda) and Sharla Bendall (Lee). She enthusiastically embraced the role of wife and mother. She was an excellent seamstress and cook. She loved reading good books especially Agatha Christie mystery novels. On October 3, 1973, Pamela lost her husband John in a tragic car accident. After being a widow for 2 years she prayed to meet someone who would love her and love her children. She was again lined up on a blind date with the man who would treat her like the queen she was meant to be, Paul Charles Silletti. He was definitely an answer to her prayers. Together, Pam and Paul created wonderful memories, holidays and events that solidified an unbreakable bond of love for everyone.
Pamela was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Stillman Bagley; her mother, Fay Louise Wiseman Bagley; her two husbands, John Harold Stagg Jr: Paul Charles Silletti; her sister, Sheila Bagley Lindquist; and her brother-in-law, Peter Warren McKellar.
She is survived by her children mentioned above and stepdaughters, Theresa Murphy and Annette Rowe (Dallas); 16 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren; and many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews.
We wish to extend heartfelt gratitude to all of the caregivers that allowed Pam to live at home until her passing: daughter Lynell Thompson; granddaughters Breighn Bendall and Kaileigh Bendall; Home Health nurses, Michelle Hintze, Lena Tonga and Jen Sheldon. A special thank you to Ryan Korn and his team at Hughes Mortuary for their outstanding compassion and service.
