Patricia Ann Bowman

June 13, 1949 — May 10, 2025

Washington, UT

Patricia (Pat) Bowman age 75 passed away peacefully after a short illness at Dixie Regional Hospital in Saint George, Utah on May 10, 2025. Pat was born in Seattle Washington on June 13, 1949, a special little bundle, to Wilbur and Mildred Bowman. She grew up with her 3 brothers Bill, Mike and Jim in Kent and Renton Washington.

Pat attended special education schools and workshops until moving to Price Utah at age 21. She enrolled at the Castle Valley Center where she absolutely loved assisting on many wood projects and made lifelong friends. Pat moved to to the St George area after her dads passing with her beloved mother Mildred (Millie) Bowman around 2000. She became involved with the St George Program for Special Needs Adults. Pat made many special friends both inside and outside the program. She especially became close to Trac as they had similar personalities. Pat loved to tease and say “I’m gonna get you” or “wanna Fight?” Then she would say “I’m just teasing.”

Pat had such a sweet and compliant yet vivacious personality. She looked forward to every Thursday to go bowling and to special needs mutual.

Through the special needs program, Pat especially loved bowling, swimming, and special olympics. She enjoyed the competition with her schoolmates as she acquired many awards for her participation in special olympics. She especially loved coming in first place! Pat was a very strong swimmer and could lap the pool many times even in her later years. She loved kids, fishing, coloring, puzzles, and watching sports on tv, especially golf and hockey. Pat had a real fondness for animals, especially dogs. She loved coffee, fried eggs and bacon and raisin bran with strawberries for breakfast. She loved to eat pasghetti and ice cream with strawberries.  About the only thing she disliked was seeing fighting or anyone get hurt.

Pat also looked forward to going to the duck pond to feed the ducks. She would often coax them to eat from her hand by saying, “C’mon, sweetheart” or “stop fighting”.

Pat was very strong physically and mentally which showed during the short time she spent in the hospital battling too many illnesses to recover from no matter how hard she fought.

We selfishly wanted to keep Pat here with us longer, but she and her mother and father are now enjoying a wonderful reunion.

Pat we love you forever!

Pat is survived by brothers William (Elaine) Bowman of Price, Michael (Lynn) Bowman of Covington, Washington, sister in law, Daryl Bowman, wife of the late Jim Bowman, many special nieces and nephew, who Pat lovingly referred to as her kids. Special care givers Karen and Cindy, who made her final months so joyful. Proceeded in death by her parents Wilbur Leroy Bowman and Mildred Elizabeth Lehman Bowman, brother Jim Bowman, niece Kami Bowman, nephew CJ Smuin.
