It is with heavy hearts, deep love, and grateful memories that we announce the passing of Robert Lynn Glines (Bob) on July 28, 2025, at the age of 69. Surrounded by his family, Bob left this world exactly as he lived in it—cracking jokes, lifting spirits, and showing the same strength and grit that defined his life.
Bob was a man of many talents—a brilliant builder, a gifted pilot, and a fearless soul with a heart as generous as it was strong. He didn’t just fly planes—he built them, piece by piece, in his garage. Whether he was up in the air or elbow-deep in a project, Bob was always creating, fixing, and enjoying life. He was never afraid to get his hands dirty or his heart involved. Around the neighborhood, he was affectionately known as “Airplane Bob.”
He lived by his values and stood firmly by them, no matter the circumstances. He was real—unapologetically himself, and deeply respected for it.
To his family, Bob was everything: a devoted husband, proud father, incredible brother, favorite uncle, and an extraordinary grandfather. His grandkids adored him. Whether flying them through the sky, out shooting, working on a project, hunting, or pulling off his latest prank, Bob turned simple moments into lifelong memories.
To his friends, Bob was the kind of man you could always count on—the best friend you could ever have. Loyal, funny, honest, and authentic. He made everyone feel like family. His friendships were forged over decades of shared laughter, boating, adventures, and a good bit of mischief.
Bob soared through life with courage, built a world with his hands, and loved with his whole heart. He was our rock and our wingman. May he rest in peace—and keep flying high.He is survived by his wife, Lisa Hart Glines; his children, Eric Glines (Tonia Glines) and Annie Thomas (Jake Thomas); his sister, Karen Glines (Bryan Midgley); his brother, Dave Glines (Tanya Glines); and his beloved grandchildren, Chase, Gracie, Bransen, and Garrett. His nieces and nephew, Lindsay, Katie, and Lucas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon and Dorene Glines.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on August 24th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Willow Creek Country Club. All who loved him are welcome to gather, share stories, have a beer, and remember the man who meant so much to so many.
Bob wasn't a flower guy so bring your best stories—we’ll all leave with more memories.
