Robert Leroy Yant age 75 of Ivins, Utah passed away December 12, 2022. He was born November 18, 1947 in Culver City, California to his parents Theodore Leroy Yant and Isabell Marie DuGuay. He married Jan Kathleen Yant on January 23, 2021 in Ivins, Utah.

Raised in California he grew up with a love for the ocean, learning to scuba dive and The Beach Boys music. A man of many skills from working on cars and motorcycles, to achieving the highest level of certification from PADI as a Master Scuba Diver and a respectable career in Law Enforcement. He was a teacher, a leader and a protector for those close to him. He often could be found singing in the car to a favorite tune, watching a sci-fi show (he loved Star Trek) or sharing his wisdom and stories from the past.

He is survived by his wife Jan, his sister Darlene and brother Tom, 7 of his children Laura, Paula, Ted, Mark, Sabrina, Matthew and Jacqueline, 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother John and his son Kenneth.

Robert's funeral will be Monday December 19, 2022at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 260 E. 1060 S. Ivins, Utah 84738. A private viewing will take place from 9:30-10:30am, services start at 11am.

Since Bob and Jan did not marry for money, and with this unexpected turn of events, it would be appreciated that in lieu of flowers or any other type of memorial, a donation for burial and expenses would be greatly appreciated.
