Ronald Leslie Bush, 91, passed away with family by his side on December 22, 2025, at home in Hurricane, Utah. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Ron was born on January 5, 1934, in Provo, Utah, to Leslie Edward Bush and Lula Clark. Lea Wagner was his stepfather. He married Linda Louise Todd, September 16, 1960, in the Salt Lake City Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They celebrated 65 years of marriage earlier this year.
In his younger years, Ron moved around several times throughout Texas, Ohio and Utah. Ron graduated from Olympus High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. He joined the Navy and served for 8 years, including two years of active duty. Ron attended Brigham Young University and went on to have a lifelong career as a computer systems analyst. During his career he experienced the transition from room-sized mainframes to personal computing innovations.
Ron had many talents and hobbies. He loved traveling and camping with his family. Music was always an important part of his life, and for several years ran the sound system for Promised Valley Playhouse in downtown Salt Lake City. Ron also designed their family homes including the home which he and Linda moved into in Hurricane, Utah. Ron was a family history expert and spent years researching his family history. He loved performing the temple work for his ancestors and was a valued resource to friends and family seeking help with their family history. Ron created many videos and wrote life stories that are treasured by his family. He loved having a camera in his hand and recorded many wonderful family memories.
He is survived by his wife Linda; daughters Ronda (Craig, deceased) Meldrum, Allison (David) Scheer, Rebecca (David) Broberg, Jillene (Benjamin) Ross, and Jennifer Adams. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Louise Bush Smee, and half-sister Patricia Wagner.
A graveside service will be held January 2, 2026, at Elysian Gardens in Millcreek, Utah, at 10:30 AM.
