Sandra Gale Torres was born on June, 21st, 1945 in Cedar City, Utah to Arvilla Atkin and Henry Gale along with her twin sister Sylvia. Sandra passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026 at the age of 80. Sandra started out the first part of her life in Beaver, Utah and at the age of 7 they moved to Cedar City, Utah. Sandra loved growing up in Cedar and would always share fond memories of her childhood. Later in her life when she had to re-locate to St. George, she cried for months, but eventually St George became home.
Sandra graduated from Cedar High School in 1963 and that was the same year she met and married her true love, Eddie Torres. They were married on June 29, 1963 and were later sealed in the St George temple on January 21 st , 1987. Sandra was a very hard worker; she was a self-taught Bookkeeper and worked long hours to become successful. She opened her own business Dixie Keypunch Service and did billings for several businesses in St. George. In 1985 they relocated to Las Vegas and spent 33 years of their life there. Sandra went into property management there and managed 173-unit apartment complex. She would tell you that was her favorite job and was someday going to write a book about the daily events that happened there. She could tell you some stories.
Sandra had 2 loves in her life, her family and Pine Valley. They were fortunate enough to build a home in Pine Valley while living in Las Vegas, she always said she gets to go to heaven every weekend. We have a lot of fond memories of our time in Pine Valley with her, she made sure we were a close family and she held us all together. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and loved serving every opportunity she got, especially in their branch in Pine Valley. Sandra was blessed with 5 children, 15 grandchildren, and 16 great- grandchildren. She is going to be missed tremendously.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Torres, her parents Henry Harold and Arvilla Atkin Gale, her brother Hod Gale, her sisters Louise Lindsay, Irene Nichols and Phyllis Brockmier. Sandra is survived by her daughter Tammy (Jeff) Hughes, son Greg Torres, son Jason (Alex) Torres, son Ryan (Alyssa) Torres, son Trever (Danielle) Torres. Siblings: Karen Hunter, Sylvia Jones, Lorraine Fife and Michael Gale. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
