Sharon Martindale

October 23, 1951 — December 29, 2023

St. George, Utah

Sharon Martindale of St. George, UT., passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 72, on December 29, 2023, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born of Ralph Decot and Rosie Dahlgren (Carney), Sharon was the oldest of 7 children and grew up in Junction City, Ohio.

Sharon was married to her soulmate, (Barry Martindale), in May of 1974. Together, over 49 years, they built an abundant life and raised their 3 children, each of whom she was incredibly proud. The couple resided most of their marriage in South Florida, (Boca Raton and Palm City), before happily retiring in St. George, UT., where Sharon celebrated each day lifted by the breathtaking Mojave Desert landscape and the southwestern culture that sung to her soul.

Sharon was blessed with 3 grandchildren and one great grandson. They were her pride and joy. She loved each of them with an equal fervor, and poured all of her heart into curating individual bonds that will not easily be forgotten.

Sharon was a devoted, supportive and loving wife and mother. Her family was everything to her and she was everything to them. She was brilliantly creative with a wild spirit that remained untamed, down to her last days. She loved to travel, meeting new people and turning them into fast friends. Sharon’s generosity was her gift to the world. She made every person she encountered feel like they were the most important person in the room. She was selfless woman with a heart of gold. Her greatest joy was found in creating memories, while bringing smiles to the faces of those she loved. Sharon left her mark in this life and the impact that remains will forever echo through eternity.

"A Person Never Really Dies Until the Last Memory of Them is Forgotten. Please Help to Keep the Memory of Sharon Alive."
