Sheldon Gary Lunceford

Sheldon Gary Lunceford, 79, of Washington, Utah, passed away peacefully from age-related health conditions on January 8, 2024.

 

Sheldon was born December 31st,1944 to parents Kenneth and Melva Lunceford in Orem, Utah. He was the third son to join their family and grew up with three brothers. He graduated from Orem High School and shortly afterward served in the US Army. He then served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Northwest Region – Serving in Idaho and Eastern Washington as his favorite areas. He had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. He attended Boise State University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in English, and then attended the Palmer Chiropractic College, graduating with his degree as a Doctorate of Chiropractic.

 

He then enjoyed being a successful Chiropractor for over 30 years. He loved the patients he cared for and helping individuals get well. Sheldon loved the outdoors as an avid hunter and angler. He enjoyed boating, camping, and swimming in any ocean or lake. He loved taking his kids to Lagoon and Disneyland and buying them unlimited treats. Sheldon loved his children and grandchildren.

 

Sheldon is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Trent, and he is survived by his siblings KC (Annette), and Wayne (Kate), and his six children Michelle (Nathan), Tonya, Brett (Julia), Launee (Ahmed), Gary, and Nikki (Blake) and his 17 grandchildren and as well as several extended family members and friends.

 

Please join us to celebrate the life of Sheldon Gary Lunceford on Friday, January 19, 2024. His viewing will be held at Hughes Mortuary at 1037 E 700 S, St. George, UT 84790, and begin that evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024, Graveside funeral and burial at Washington Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., located at 300 E. Parkview Drive, Washington, UT 84780.
