Sheri Dawn Andersen, 60, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
She was born September 12, 1964, in Murray, Utah, to Lois Elizebeth (Woods) Andersen and Ellis LaVird Andersen. Raised in West Valley City, she attended Robert Frost and Farnsworth Elementary, Valley Jr. High, and Granger High School. She grew up surrounded by wonderful neighborhood friends, and she often reminisced about the many happy hours they spent playing together. Sheri cherished her high school years, where she was nominated for Homecoming Queen, joined the Pep Squad and Debate Team, and played softball. She later attended Utah Technical College and Salt Lake Community College.
After her family moved to St. George, Sheri soon followed and met the love of her life, Scott Baldwin. Together they built a life in St. George and later Cedar City, sharing 33 years of love and companionship until Scott’s passing in 2021. She remained in Cedar City until her own passing.
Sheri had a deep love for animals, especially her cat, Kiki, who brought her comfort during her recovery from breast cancer. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, camping, hiking, and traveling. Among her favorite destinations was Disneyland, a place that always brought her joy. She cherished her family and friends and loved spending time visiting with them.
She is survived by her father, Ellis LaVird Andersen (Krista); stepfather, Lindsay May; brothers, Marty Andersen (Annette) and James Andersen (Kristal); and sister, Larissa Andersen Chapman (Jon). She was preceded in death by her partner, Scott Baldwin, and her mother, Lois Elizebeth May.
The family thanks the nurses and staff at Cedar Health and Rehab for their compassionate care.
Sheri’s final resting place will be with her beloved Scott at Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 12, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Pioneer Park Lower Pavilion, 400 North 400 East, Beaver, Utah. Together we will honor her memory with food and stories of the love and laughter she brought into our lives.
