Sosaia Fifita Veamatahau

On May 2, 2025 Sosaia Fifita Veamatahau returned to the arms of our lord.

Sosaia Veamatahau was born on January 6, 1988. He grew up in a small village known as Ha’akame Tonga with his parents and 9 siblings.

Sosaia spent most of his life in Tonga until 2019 working as a teacher for a tourist economy and a job as a check in agent at the Tongan airport, he also went to a church school called Liahona and finished at Tailulu college. he then later had the opportunity to go to BYU Hawaii and worked as a night show performer at the PCC, There he met his sweetheart Mikenzie. They were married July 16th, 2020, and were later sealed in the Cedar City Temple for time and eternity on September 17th, 2021. Together they have two beautiful children and were raising them in St. George, UT.

Sosaia enjoyed playing pickle ball, cooking, dancing, and most of all loved to sing. He was an avid member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a temple ordinance worker and Chorister in the Tongan Ward. He loved spending time with his family traveling and making memories together. He loved being a dad and was always playing with the kids.

Sosaia was a well-loved member of the community who would help and give to others. He was the type who would give the shirt off his back if the other person needed it. He is survived by his loving wife Mikenzie, children Salesi and Crystal, siblings Silia, Luisa, Ngalukilo, Toakase, Fololeni, Sioeli, Kenitolo and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by parents Kaluseti Tonga Poteki (mom) and Paula Veamatahau (dad), and siblings Sioeli Fakapulia Veamatahau and Salesi Veamatahau.

Funeral Services will be Saturday May 24th, 2025, at 11:00am at 3519 Manzanita Rd, St. George, UT 84790. Interment will take place at Washington City Cemetery 300 Park View Dr. Washington, UT 84780 immediately after.
