Stephen Ronald Silver

Stephen “Steve” Ronald Silver, 58, graduated from this life on September 24, 2026, in Paw Paw, Michigan. He was born July 9, 1968, in Chapultepec, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.

Steve’s life was rooted in faith, family, and service. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as a missionary and high priest. He also served in the Army National Guard as a howitzer mechanic and was an expert marksman.

A lifelong learner and a man of many talents, Steve’s work spanned construction, skilled trades, technology, and safety training. He earned a bachelor’s degree in network engineering and loved sharing his knowledge. Above all, he was a gentle giant with a generous heart—giving what he had, teaching patiently, and offering a helping hand wherever he could. As a father, brother, mentor, and friend, he leaves a legacy of kindness in the lives he touched.

Steve loved hiking, camping, skydiving, and mountain biking. In his younger years, he worked as a waiter and tour guide at Zion and the Grand Canyon. He will be laid to rest between these two beloved places, among the landscapes that meant so much to him.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at the LDS Chapel, 640 S. Central St., Colorado City, AZ 86021. Interment will follow at Isaac W. Carling Memorial Gardens, 500 Township Ave., Colorado City, Arizona. A luncheon provided by the Relief Society will follow the graveside service.
