Tayson Paxman, age 23, passed away on September 7, 2025, in St. George, Utah. Born on July 20, 2002, in the same city he called home throughout his life, Tayson brought light, laughter, and boundless energy to everyone around him.

From the very beginning, Tayson was known for his big heart and adventurous spirit. Whether tearing through trails on his dirt bike, casting a line into a quiet lake, or skimming across the water on a wakeboard, he found joy in the outdoors and lived every moment to the fullest. Hunting trips with his grandfather were especially treasured-always aiming for the biggest buck and making memories that will last forever.

Tayson's love for life extended beyond adventure. He had a deep appreciation for time spent with family and close friends. Midnight snack runs with his sister Avory were a cherished tradition-whether they all got the same treat or something completely different, it was never really about the snacks but about being together. Family dinners, movie nights, dirt bike rides, and shared laughter filled their lives with warmth and connection.

He had a special bond with his great-grandmother Delma Paxman. As a young boy, he would pull up a chair to her kitchen counter and say with excitement, "Hey Grandma Donuts-it's time for corn chowder!" That same enthusiasm carried into his love for cooking; Tayson was known as one of the best chefs around and especially loved preparing (and eating) a good steak.

Tayson also found pride in hard work. He enjoyed working as an electrician alongside his grandfather Jon Golden Paxman and doing construction projects with his mom. His loyal dog Koa was never far from his side-ready to follow him on every new adventure.

To know Tayson was to feel welcomed and loved. His hugs were unforgettable-filled with warmth and sincerity that made everyone feel at home. He had a gift for making people feel seen and valued, whether they were lifelong friends or someone he had just met. His presence lit up every room he entered.

Tayson was caring and loving-and yes, stubborn as hell-but that stubbornness came from a place of fierce loyalty and passion. He lived wholeheartedly and never hesitated to show up for those he loved.

He is survived by his devoted mother Bridget Nielson; his beloved sister Avory Breann Nielson; grandparents Jon Golden Paxman and Jill Paxman; uncle Jon Vincent Paxman; great-grandmother Delma Paxman; and countless friends and extended family who adored him.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Robert T. Paxman, Antone Hinton, Craig J. Hinton, and Monrae Hinton.

Tayson's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him-in every laugh shared around a campfire, every trail blazed on two wheels, every fish reeled in under a wide blue sky.

_"I'm just taking a break... gone fishing forever!"_
