Terri Lynn Macdonald

March 4, 1960 — January 28, 2023

Terri Lynn Macdonald was born on March 4,1960 and passed away on January 28, 2023 at the age of 62. She was born to Larry Routt and Joan (Glasscock) Routt in Joliet, Illinois. She was raised in Joliet for a good portion of her life. 

Terri graduated nursing school with a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2006 and went on to receive a Masters Degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Terri had two sons, Rick, born in 1979 and Ryan, born in 1984. They were her pride and joy. She met Mac Macdonald in 1987, and they were married in 1989. They moved to New Harmony, Utah in December of 1999 where they lived until 2015 when they moved to Saint George. 

They were both baptized members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on September 16, 2006 and were sealed in the Saint George, Utah Temple on December 10, 2007. 

Terri received the Nursing Excellence Award in 2013 and the Intermountain Healthcare Hero Award in 2018. She worked at Intermountain HealthCare for over 20 years and made a significant difference in the lives of those she met and served. 

Terri is a huge fan of the Cubs, Bears and Disneyland. She loves all children and enjoyed making them feel like they were the most important thing in her life, because they were. She could often be found outdoors hiking, camping, or watching her grandkids play sports. She enjoyed traveling the country and going on a good cruise with her cousins. She and Mac both have a huge love of dogs, and "Ginger" is their newest pup. 

She is survived by her husband Mac, son Rick of Seattle, Washington and adopted daughter Sarah Green and her husband Jared and their children: Anna, Jessica, Porter, David and Jared of Washington City, Utah, her adopted sister Ursula Davies of Saint George, Utah her sister in law, Darlene Macdonald of Joliet, Illinois, and her cousins, Jodi Threatt and her husband Demond of Spencer, Indiana, Dawn Ford and Chad Glasscock both of Indiana and their children. She is preceded in death by her son Ryan, her parents and her brother Larry "Buster" Routt. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11a.m. with a viewing starting at 9a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 3519 Manzanita Rd. Saint George, Utah.
