ST GEORGE, UTAH

Vaituli Purcell Harrington, age 89, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 5, 2020. She was born September 26, 1931 in Lefaga, Samoa to Iese Purcell and Siai Utai. She was married to Burnham Harrington in New Zealand.

She was a special person to all with a contagious smile. She loved dancing and feeding everybody she met. She is survived by eight children, Archie Harrington (deceased), Violet Feula (deceased), Vaiula Hamilton (living), Iese Harrington (living), Rita Harrington (living), Indilla Harrington (deceased), Eugene Harrington (deceased), and Dani Harrington (living), 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was an original member of the first St. George Polynesian Choir. She touched many lives and left a legacy of love with her kind, sweet, contagious smile to thousands of people she came in contact with. Her most memorable saying was  “HELLO MY DEAR”.  We we will never forget her always saying “JUST BE HAPPY”.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 10:00am to 12:00pm at Hughes Mortuary, 1037 E 700 S, St. George, UT 84790.

Interment will follow immediately at the St. George City Cemetery, 650 E Tabernacle, St George, UT 84770
