ValRee Neilson Fox

ValRee Neilson Fox, 76, passed away Thursday 7/3/2025. She was born August 30, 1948, in Cedar City, Utah to Keith Neilson and Lois Gillespie Neilson. The youngest of their three daughters. She married Frank Thomas Fox February 10, 1977 in Goldfield, Nevada. They later divorced, but their marriage blessed ValRee with one stepson Dennis Fox and their son Keith Neilson Fox. 

Her family moved a lot but many of her school years were spent in Nevada. She graduated from Tonopah High School. She loved dance and was a wonderful artist. She even designed the Esmeralda Mustangs logo which still hangs in the school gym today. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent many hours involved in family history and loved searching out her ancestors or helping others in this pursuit. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lola Berniece Neilson and Starla Rae Neilson Gumbann, sons Dennis and Keith. She is survived by her grandson Jadyn Thomas Fox Mathews whom she loves dearly. 

Graveside service will be held Thursday 7/10/2025 at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 S Dixie Dr, St. George, Utah.

Arrangements are made under the direction of Hughes Mortuary, 1037 E 700 S St. George, Utah.
